Exotic Car Show at Shopping MallDova
Chisinau, 9 September From 13 till 19 September Shopping MallDova will host a car exhibition "Show of Contrasts. Exotic Car Festival", the event that will turn for the entire week the mall into a place of pilgrimage for car lovers.
Organized by Shopping MallDova and retro clubs from Balti and Chisinau and supported by PRO TV and Fotomax shop, the event will comprise three exclusive car segments: car tuning, vintage cars and sports cars, offering everyone the possibility to admire valuable, unique models – true jewels on four wheels.
The festival will present about 20 exotic cars, and the mall visitors will be able to vote for them by short message. Owners of cars most highly appreciated at each of the categories – Tuning, Retro and Sport – will be awarded on 17 September at the Award Gala.
The sports car category will include rally cars – participants of international contests and championships: WV Golf, WV Polo, VAZ 2108, Subaru Impreza, Buggy..
Real stars of the event will be modified cars, participants and award-winners of drag racing championships: Subaru Impreza WRX STI, Nissan Sky Line, BMW E30, BMW E36 340 Bi turbo, BMW 320. The mall visitors will have the chance to see Igor Vrabie’s Nissan Skyline, winner of the Central European Acceleration Championship 2010, live.
Retro car lovers will feast their eyes upon some of the best preserved and restored vintage cars dating from 1932-1970. Collectors from Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia will present highly valuable models to the public: Packard (1938) – Grand Prix 2010 at retro car festivals in Minsk, Odessa and Chisinau, Pobeda Coupe-Cabriolet (1954) – participant of 4 international competitions, Cadillac DeVille (1968), Mercedes (1937), Citroen 2CV (1957), WV Beetle (1970), Cadillac Eldorado (1976), Merlin (1932), Gaz 21.
Alongside exotic exhibits the mall’s show will also include detailed and authentic car mockups – full copies of famous makes: Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW, Dodge, Bugatti, Lexus, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Maserati, Mercedes Benz. Collecting car mockups has been Radu Cucu’s passion for more than 10 years, during which he has managed to collect over 300 models. His collection includes mockups of “USSR Legends”, Super Cars, European models from the 70’s and 80’s, retro and sports models.
The exotic car festival will be completed by a ladies’ Miss Tuning contest. Professional photographers will take pictures of all participants near cars at the mall, so at the end of the contest all visitors will be invited to choose the winner. Miss Tuning will be awarded by Shopping MallDova with a shopping certificate of 700 lei.
